Timetable

Timetable - Spring - Half Term 2

Homework

  1. Practice multiplication tables and corresponding division facts daily.

  2. Read at least five times each week with an adult and sign the child’s reading record.

  3. English and Maths homework (alternate weeks)

Homework and reading is set on a Wednesday and handed in, completed, by the following Wednesday (of course, it can be handed in before then, in order to avoid last minute panic). In KS2 we work on encouraging children to be independent and take responsibility.

Reading

Every child is encouraged to read at home. Every time you listen to your child please add a signature into the space provided in the yellow reading record. This must be signed by a parent or a carer or another family member that is 16 years +. Please listen to your child read at least five times per week and ask them questions to check their understanding.

Ukuleles

Science - Investigating Evaporation

Does temperature affect the speed of evaporation? We set up our experiments, placing our beakers of water in different places. Over the course of a week we took daily measurements and recorded the results on a line graph. By the end of the week we could see from our results the effect temperature had on evaporation.

Cultural Diversity - Pete the Poet

Pete taught us about diversity

...about friendship

...and about kindness and working together.

Key Stage 2 Carol Service

The last day of the autumn term saw our annual key stage 2 Christmas carol Service at Westfield Church. We performed a French Christmas song brilliantly.
