Learner of the Week

Esme has been an absolute trooper. She worked incredibly hard not only in class but also in Drama. Despite being very poorly with a really heavy cold at the end of last term she still maintained 100% attendance. She has been to every Drama rehearsal after school and during lunchtimes. She can be relied upon to give 100% to everything she does! Well done Esme and you are quite literally a star.

History in our time!

Westover Green’s General Election.

The children in Year 5 thought that it wasn’t fair that the pupils of Westover Green didn’t get to vote in the General Election. They decided to create their own parties and after many discussions produced their own manifestos. Leaders and Deputy Leaders were elected to represent each party. This week they have begun campaigning in earnest. They presented their pledges to the voters in assembly and have been on the campaign trail at playtimes and lunchtimes.

All of the children received a voting slip on Thursday 12th December and were encouraged to go along to the Polling Station held in the school Library. The results are to be announced in assembly.
